About HARDN — Built From The Bottom by an Ultra Runner

HARDN is an ultra running race execution platform built by Patrick Enger — a founder who went from never running to training for 100-milers through one of the hardest seasons of his life. This is not a startup story. This is what happens when a man loses everything and decides to run.

The origin — I lost everything, all at once

I lost everything that mattered to me. Not one thing at a time — all at once. The career didn't break me. The circumstances didn't break me. Losing the ones I loved — piece by piece — that broke me. I gave everything I had. Every moment. Every sacrifice. And slowly, one by one, they drifted away. The people I counted on, the community I trusted, just disappeared. No warning. No goodbye. Just gone.

I didn't want to get out of bed. So I ran. Not for fitness. Not for a race. I ran because it was the only thing keeping me alive — the only place where the pain had somewhere to go, the only thing that was still mine.

Why every HARDN feature exists

Every feature in HARDN was built from real pain, not a feature list.

The Pain Cave

When you have nothing left, you go inward. The Pain Cave is that place — where you stop running from something and start running through it.

Daily Inspiration

Some mornings the only thing that got me out of bed was a single line. A reason. HARDN delivers that every day — because some days that's enough.

Training Checkoffs

When your world is falling apart, completing one workout is a victory. Checking it off is proof you showed up. That proof compounds.

Race Execution

I couldn't control what happened to my family. But I could control my splits, my aid station strategy, my next step. Race execution gave me agency back.

Crew Dashboard

Even in the lowest moments, someone showing up for you changes everything. The crew dashboard keeps your people locked in — every mile, every cutoff, every step.

AI Coaching

I was building alone. Training alone. No coach, no support system. AI coaching is there at 3am when you have a question and no one to call.

The mission

HARDN was built for anyone who has lost everything and is trying to find their way back. The trail doesn't care what you lost. It just asks you to show up. If you're still here — keep going.
